Floating Cover for Manure
We also supply floating covers for covering manure silos. Floating covers are used to limit the emission of fertilizer gases.
A floating cover has the advantage that it is a cheaper investment compared to other covers. Because the floating cover rests on the manure, this has no consequences for the load on the tank.
However, a floating cover does require more attention/maintenance than any other cover. The rainwater has to be pumped out.
These covers are supplied in consultation with floats/air vents, HDPE edge pipe, tension strap/rope and a mixing hole. The material used is a PVC foil reinforced with polyester 900 grams per m². Available in green or grey.
